Project Runway

Damn this show for sucking me into their marathon! lol. Just kidding. I dont mind Project Runway. It's no worse that America's Next Top Model. And i used to watch that religiously. So.... yeah. Anywho, i watched half of Season 5 and was SOOO glad Kenley didnt win. She was not so nice. But her style was cool. Somewhat reminiscent of Betsy Johnson's retro, vintage style...
Korto & Leann were cool. My heart was pulling for both of them. So i was okay with Leann winning. Her collection is pretty cool. Her main theme for the line "waves".

Just a Fling Thing

I've been keeping a look out for this commercial ever since i read the article a while back on Advertising Age, an online advertising news site (My desired profession is advertising). Mars, the candy company, has come out with a new candy called Fling.

The product is targeted to women and the commericial is, pretty much, trying to say it's okay to have some sweets once in a while. Hence the name "Fling". So they're first commercial appears to have a lady and a man in a dressing room together doing something naughty. But surprise! The lady is just eating a "Fling" bar.

Green Day v. WalMart

I read an article about Green Day not selling their cd thru WalMart because the giant retail chain wants them to censor it. Here's what Green Day has to say about it:



"Wal-Mart's become the biggest retail outlet in the country, but they won't carry our record because they wanted us to censor it," frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said in a recent interview.

While Wal-Mart sells CDs from acts known for raunchy content, including Eminem's latest, they offer customers the "clean" version of those CDs, which are edited for content that may be objectionable. But in Armstrong's view, "There's nothing dirty about our record."

"They want artists to censor their records in order to be carried in there," he said. "We just said no. We've never done it before. You feel like you're in 1953 or something."

I dont really listen to Green Day but I am totally on their side. I dont even buy cd's that censored from Wal-Mart. Actually, i may not buy any cd's from Wal-Mart. Their attempt to protect the consumer by offering censored cd's is a turn off to me. I understand why they may have chosen to go this route with their cd selection but, if i were a artist who uses explicit lyrics, i wouldnt want to have to censor my music in order to sell it. Go Green Day! I support u.

Just gimme a few years...

...and maybe this will be my house. lol. ^_^. I love these contemporary houses. They look so cool!

I think i got into house design when i started playing The Sims, which i LOVE, btw. When creating a lavish house for my socialites, i would go online to find inspiration. My favorite part of The Sims is building the houses and commercial buildings. So it's no shocker that i slightly fell in love with architectural design. I cant wait for SIMS 3!!! OMG, it's gonna be amazing! Next month, it's coming out and I'm uber excited! YAY Sims!!! ^_^.

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes

United Nude Comso Sandals: For some reason, shoes like these are kinda scary to me. They look so intimidating to walk in. It's not a traditional heel. Where's the back??? lol. ^_^. I still love them tho. And for these, i'll conquer my fear.

Nike Gladiator Sandals: Humph... this is pretty interesting. I like how these sandals keep the look of a Nike shoe... kinda.

Nike xUSLU Airlines: I absolutely LOVE the scarf around these shoes! OMG that's brillant!
Lacoste Shoes: Okay, this one is a big "wowzer" for Lacoste. I honestly dont know what to say about this. I look and wonder "is this the futuristic look of shoes?" I dunno. But the rubber material gives it a "space-like" feel that i'm not sure i'm totally comfortable with. But it's whatever.

Ooo Ahhs and Faux Pas

So what do YOU think of this dress? I like how the line in the fabric plays with the motion of the dress. It give the illusion that its curvier than it really is. And that seems to be what Eva likes. I'm used to it... it think its cool. How about you?

I ABSOLUTELY do not like articles that try to sell me stuff when i'm read it for something informative! Crappers! Like a Yahoo! article "Things you shouldnt get from a Vending Machine."

What shouldnt you get? .....Everything.

What should you get? ....Crackers by Nabisco. (that's not what the brand was, i'm just sayin)

And yet another Yahoo! article has gotten me again. I was really tryna learn something about Mineral Make-Up and what's the end result???? Buy RawMinerals. No comparison to other specifics brands... I didnt learn anything i couldnt have assumed on my own, or nothing! Gee.. Thanks for wasting my life. I really appreciate it. Because now its on my blog......(sigh)...... Does anyone feel me or what?

Blog Ads Concepts

Okay... so I'm working on some new blog ads to post on my Music Myspace Page and here's what I came up with:



I like this one cuz altho it's girly and has girly elements it doesnt scream "GIRL BLOG!!!!" I want everyone to check out my blog... even if its kinda girly. Now this one on the other hand...



... might not attract everyone... but maybe the right people. I dunno....I love them both SOOO much!!! I dunno which one will go one my MySpace Page but we'll see. Maybe i should figure out exactly who my audience is. What do you think???

Diary Entry

OMG, i was sooo sick fo the past week! Not the swine flu or anything (giggles) but just some average bodily malfunctuntions that happens when stuff happens. Anywho, yesterday i was feeling all better.. and i'm still better. YAY!

Okay so past that, my family had a get-together/family-day/welcome back party for my uncle. He was "on vacation," as Granny once said. Well, after being bound by the comforts of my covers for a week, so i took the\is chance to take an extended glimpse of life around me. I usually do this at family occassions but i havent been around them for soooo long; i kinda lost who they were. So i just watched, remembered, assumed, and pondered. Just in case, u're wondering i'm not one for words at these functions. Although this kinda contradicts myself because this entry will be lengthy. YOU ARE FORE-WARNED! lol.

The event was nice. I felt comfortable... and right. Like i said, we havent had "family day" in so long. And there were different touches in this one but i'd like to think they were all touch-ups. (awww... happy tear lol). There were two noticeable moments of thoughts that occurred:

One: When my cousin and I rode with my "welcome-home-uncle" to the liquor store. The way he drove was sooo.... free. He was going about 90 to 100 mph on the highway (where i stay, traffic flows around 65 to 70). He was so gone... not in terms of speed, people speed all the time... this one tho... i mean he hasnt driven on the rodes in years and the energy in the car was... um, whats the word... rejuvenating, maybe? Yea, lets go with that. I didnt mind his fast driving, usually i do mind other's driving, but i just looked down to not psych myself out and joked with my cousin. It felt good knowing that he appreciated the home coming.

Two: I hitched a ride to my boyfriends house with my cousins and aunt. Just watching their interactions, made me smile. They're so goofy. lol. I love them. It also reminded me how different we are and how some-what awkward i am. Not in a bad way tho, i embrace it. I would try to change it but... eh, whatever. I used to be slightly envious of how female in general interact with each other (I was probably more curious than envious). The way girls are usually giddy and touchy and girly (for lack of a better explanation). I'm somewhat stand-offish and reserved, even when these actions are done towards me. And although i'm not disappointed about lacking these personal characteristics, i really appreciate people who do. And i would try to mimick but then it's mimicking and not genuine. Although eventually it will become so, I'm not sure i want that forced awkward stage yet. But i love they're interaction and playfulness with each other. Once again... it felt rejuvenating? and free. Kudos to u guys. XOXO

And once reaching my boyfriend's house, after saying my"hello's" and "i'm home's", i laid with him and he hugged me so tight. Words cannot descreibe how good i felt. And after being bound by the comforts of my covers for a week, i too felt free. And then i thought how funny it is how we can feel so loose and bound at the same time. Like a mother's snuggle with a child, if you will... Like bungee jumping with the string but without the feeling of the string. I always awe myself over these things that people always talk about... the general rules of life... and realize how so true they are.

Anywho, sorry so lengthy... I told ya! ^_^! Have a FABULOUS day! And remember to smile. No really.... i mean it. Smile. Later!

Moving Mountains

When i first heard this song i thought it was "okay". Usher kinda ruined himself for me with "Love in this Club". I felt as if he we just following the trend R&B songs had taken instead of just being himself. So when "Moving Mountains" came out, i wasn't completely open to it. But i heard it the other day and was like "wow... thats a good song". If I Were A Super Hero...

Well one guy is actually living his childhood dream and Shadow Hare is his name... serving his community and protecting the streets of Cincinnati , Ohio.

This is what happens when there's too many super hero movies. Just kidding. I love those things. But honestly, although this is hilariously hilarious, this guy either has nothing better to with his time or is completely devoted to fighting crime. You decide... The police is worried about this vigilante but i say if they were really worried they would find out who this guy is! He has a MySpace page! C'mon now! Really?!
