I am honestly heart broken. Michael Jackson was honestly and truly my favorite artist... he was a true genius. I dont know what else to say... In his memory, I cried, my friends and I laughed, and we danced. His legacy will continue to live on forever...

Ladies Dont Wear Pants

French Vogue has dedicated their latest issue's cover to a "No Pants" Movement. And if i understand this correctly, they want women to stop wearing pants, trousers and skirts? Humph. Well how about that...

Personally, i love my jeans. And i'm just starting to get into skirts... so i'm not really feeling this idea. But of course my boyfriend is all for it. Lol. I 'm trying to wrap my head about it's reasoning. So French Vogue is telling me is they want to take basic, essential elements out of my fashion; they want to deem it as unfashionable... have those innovators who specialize in women's pants, skirts, and trousers been wrong to do so. Maybe i'm looking to deep in it and getting myself hyped over nothing. Its whatever. We'll see how long it lasts...

But maybe this revolution is to be looked at as "freeing" or "liberating" or whatever. Who says women have to cover they're legs. Maybe some women are tired of being modest. Some may say this movement is catered to men, and it can be looked at from the angle. But with so many women walking around in shorts, will it still be sexy to show legs? Will it become the norm? Will men stop looking?

HA! Yeah right, like that'll happen!

But anywho, at the very least, one wearing these "shorts" all day will end up very comfortable with her body. I guess thats a good thing. Why not love those legs?

Or it can be looked at as a marketing scheme to promote those panty-shorts-thing. What's bigger that VOGUE saying dont wear those pants, wear these! Some designer is pretty damn happy right about now...

Guilty Pleasures

You have no idea how disappointed i am to have lent my comic books to a friend and not have it back in my possession. I gave her comics 1 thru 5 of Anita Blake: Guilty Pleasures a little before Twilight came out (Nov 2008- its now June 2009... Yeah, its been that long). UGH! This is aggravating cause i think she lost it, but the #1 issue is definitely something i MUST buy again.


If you're not into the series u should definitely check it out... I like it because she's not defined as a super hero. And although she kinda has "super powers" she's still human and vulnerable and acts like it in the comic book. My comic book chick said i should read the book instead. But i LOVE the comic book. And I dont think i can go book-to-comic like book-to-movie. But whatever. Check it out.

A Light in My Eye

It's hard to say you'll miss something you never really appreciated until its gone or is threatened to go away.

Well that's the case with the fire fly. I read a while ago that they're well on their way to becoming extinct...

So... how often do you see fireflies? Have u noticed their decline?

The article i read said it's partly due to people(kids) catching them and not letting them go. Nooo!!! How could those summer nights, so long ago, with my brothers catching fire flies have been so bad? And children catching fire flies is like a classic thing... Think, we may never see this tradition ever again.

The article also said artificial lights at night confuse fire flies and throws of their mating patterns. This is crazy! Who'd thought human development can affect a species so much.

So, ever since i read this article i looked around and rarely saw a fire fly. I would say never but i dunno... i had to see at least one, right??? Well, i did last night. Actually i saw two! And my boyfriend snapped the picture of my expression. lol.

Hopefully now that it's a little deeper into summer i'll see more... It's funny because i never cared so much. And now i'm all "Save the Fire Flies" and such. lol. Every creature is precious, especially one that can bring a sense of beauty and grace to any environment.

Barbie and Twiggy

So i was looking up 60's fashion because a couple of friends and i were talking about how fashion is recycling itself, and i ran across a picture of Twiggy. I was first introduced to Twiggy thru America's Next Top Model. And i fell in love with her. Twiggy was the sweetest of all the judges. So of course, i did more research as to whom she was during her "golden years" as a model. Ever since then, every time i look at her model pics from when she was younger, it reminds me of Barbie... Probably because of her porcelain-like skin.

What do you think? Isn't she a doll?

I would assume that Barbie was influenced by Twiggy's looks, but Barbie was introduced in 1959. Twiggy didnt debut til the 60's. I guess it doesnt matter; they're both beautiful.

Speaking of Barbie, wouldn't be cool if u could really have her clothes. I used to wish for that when i was younger. Just give me all of her clothes and i'll be great! lol. So let's make dreams come true - here's a video of the Barbie Fashion Show 2009:

Graphic Designs on Mine

Hey...How do u like my new profile pic???

I've been playing around on Photoshop all day. Who knew my projects would come out so good? This is my new profile pic. The original pic was shaky but still cute. So i touched it up added a filter and "voila!"

This one was a bit tricky but i got it! YAY Me! lol. I figured it'll look great with words so i wrote a lil something:

"Silence is gray not golden. One does not know me if I never speak.
When my silence is broken... my words become Golden."

You know how u dont know write until u start writing??? Well that was the case here. But it was so appropriate and honest. And it can connect with so many things and circumstances. Every one has value and one way someone can see that worth is when u speak...

The next pic is a cover for my unreleased projects. I sing... and just finished my version of "Kiss Me Thru the Phone." The original was done by Soulja Boy and Sammie. It was a fun project. And I really wanted to do it and practice my song writing skills. Everything turned out great. But my people and i agreed that the song is not cohesive with the image i want to project. So i'm not releasing it. I'll be posting a new song on my MySpace Page soon. I'll let ya'll know as soon as that happens...

Back to the picture, this is the cover for all my unreleased projects- not that they need a cover, but i thought it'll be cool. The picture is me holding two flowers down as if pushing them away. And i called it "Moody Singles" 'cause the songs going in this file will be so random and my not have one definite sound so it's "moody". lol. Anywho, this is what i've done hope ya like it...
